Carol Williams - TourBus 6 (Goes To Ocean Grove) (DVD)

This is the sixth in the ‘Tour Bus' series of documentary-style DVDs from Carol Williams and this time she is at the five manual Robert Hope-Jones organ of Ocean Grove, New Jersey, USA, which is set in a massive 10,000 seat auditorium.
As with the other DVDs in this series, the bulk of the ninety minutes is taken up with interviews, demonstrations and tours around the organ. There are only five musical number in the DVD, although having said that, these are all performed by Carol on this particular DVD.
Apart from the music performances, we also have an interview with concert organist Dr. Gordon Turk who takes us around the organ's 5 manuals, 176 ranks and 10,823 pipes (not individually, obviously). We hear about the organ's history from organ curator John Shaw who then takes Carol on a tour of the concrete chambers. We also learn about the fascinating and picturesque Ocean Grove Victorian beach front community.
