Here is the information about the radio show from their website:

It all started in the U.S.A. The Theatre Organ was first used as a fill in instrument in the old days of silent movies and replaced the Honky Tonk pianos which were also used with different types of music to simulate the different actions in the films being shown. As the organs became more and more popular with the Theatre Goers, they were also used as entertainment in their own right.

They were played during the intervals, then they became popular in Larger dance halls where people danced to them.
One only has to look at the Mighty Wurlitzer at Blackpool where the public still dance to its wonderful tones.

Noel hopes to demonstrate to the listeners the versatility of these "Monsters" both from over the pond and over here in the UK, where believe it or not there are a lot which have been rescued and concerts are given on them regularly. The Wurlitzer is known and has been, for a long time as the King of Instruments and when played properly gains the Homage expected from the many Organ Subjects that Worship these Giants.

Noel hopes also do the occasional explanation due them and the early Electronic Organs that also started their lives in the Americas. Tune in on a Wednesday evening 9:00pm-11:00pm and give it a Whirl (play on words).
